Fertility and Chiropractic

Chiropractic treatments can positively effect fertility. When the pelvis is properly aligned the ligaments that attach the uterus to the pelvis help make the most space and help babies get into the head down position before birth. In turn these ligaments help to make sure that the uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries are all in the proper position and not torqued in any way.

Many times patients will be under care for some other reason and pregnancy will be a positive side affect. Some patients seek treatment exclusively for infertility. Typically people do not equate chiropractic with fertility but often find out from a pregnant friend of its success. Each case is special and different. I always carefully rule out genetic or hormonal infertility issues before using the mechanical chiropractic approach. The Webster Technique is gentle and non-invasive. It is always a thrill when a patient calls me to tell me she is pregnant.
